Fabric Choices

Today I worked on photographing fabric so my customers can now have a visual of the choices available. This is not all of the choices but gives a good variety to choose from.

Where Did The Week Go?

Wow! This past week seemed to fly by! I didn't make many new shirts this week. I did make a Minnie Mouse birthday shirt for a cousin.

I also worked on some bag tags that were fun. The first one is a simple flower that can be personalized with a name or initials. I can do these in all different types of fabrics so I can see lots of possibilities for this one.

The second tag I worked on was a dinosaur bag tag that took a wee bit longer than the flower. I've decided I have to charge $8 for this little guy. This would be cute added to a diaper bag for a shower. Again, I can add a name or initials.

I also made an airplane tag but this one took way too long. It was the most involved out of the three. I know now to look for very simple designs. Anyway, here's a picture of how it turned it out.

Next week, I hope to get back to my clothing appliques. I ordered Addison Claire some cute skirts and can't wait to make her some tops to go with them.

Landon Alphabet Applique Shirt and More Bag Tags

Between my own daughter and my niece Sarah, they are going to be set with spring/summer attire. Sarah's shirt was made using the Landon alphabet applique. This is the first shirt I've done with this font. It turned out really cute.

I also sold my first two custom bag tags. Thanks Janet! I'm hoping these will be a good seller. They are totally made in the hoop and finished off with a satin stitch for a very nice look. I've got some really neat fabric coming in for just tags. They require a bit heavier type of fabric to allow for stiffness.

Aprons!

I added Easter aprons to my site today. I started making aprons in December when Addison Claire kept getting so many birthday party invitations. I decided these make super cute gifts and are personalized which everyone seems to like. Along with the apron, I put a cookie mix and tie the bag with a cookie cutter and ribbon. Really makes a super cute gift. The apron with personalization is $18.

Hair Pretties and Bag Tags

This week I've added some new items, hair pretties and bag tags. The hair pretties are very simple but so cute. They are made using felt and made in the hoop. They have an attached alligator clip on the back. So far, I've only got two designs for hair pretties... a bunny and flower with initial of choice. These can also be used for party favors and pencil toppers.

The bag tags are made out of fabric or felt. The possibilities are endless with these tags. They can be used for diaper bags, lunch boxes, gym bags.....etc. I have ordered some clear loops for attaching. They should arrive soon! I plan to add these tags to my Etsy shop.

Spring is Coming!

I thought I'd take a few minutes this morning to update my blog. I have been working on some new shirts for St. Patrick's Day, Mardi Gras, and Easter. Spring is definitely my favorite time of year and I can't wait for it to arrive. I have gotten some new short sleeve shirts in from Monag this week. I've also started building my spring collection of fabric which has been super fun! Now I'm hoping to start building my customer base and start selling, selling, selling! I've had great fun making my daughter different shirts and letting her be my model. At five, she is so appreciative of everything I make her....hope this continues!
